Selective culling in Spain
with Huntinspain & Alfonso Fabrés.

Through selective hunting or culling, we aim to control animal populations in hunting areas with high densities to prevent the spread of diseases caused by overpopulation, as well as to improve the genetics of certain species and thus enhance their trophies.

The animals included in the culling program are red deer, fallow deer, and mouflon. We recommend inquiring about the best available package for your group based on the current situation.
The culling season runs from October to February.

Prices for these packages range from €1,500 to €5,000, depending on the number of animals to be managed.

Tips for Guides and Support Staff during a Hunt

The amount of tip for guides and support staff during a hunt can vary, but here is a general guideline:

Hunting Guides: It is common and appreciated to tip hunting guides, especially if they have provided exceptional service. The amount may vary depending on the duration and quality of the service, but it is generally calculated between 10% and 20% of the total cost of the hunting trip.

Support Staff: If there is additional support staff such as drivers, cooks, or assistants, it is also customary to leave a tip. This is especially relevant on extended hunting expeditions or in lodges where additional services are provided. The amount usually ranges between 5% and 10% of the total cost of the trip.

Tips are often given in cash at the end of the trip or stay. It is advisable to have cash prepared in the local currency to facilitate this practice.

By following these guidelines, you not only show appreciation for the service received but also contribute positively to the welfare of the local staff.
